The 32 ft. camper is adjacent to a 16’x18’ deck, just above a gentle, flowing creek. Additionally, there is an easily accessible, large swimming hole yards away from the pebble beaches. There is ample, free parking at our home, which is a short, but mildly challenging walk to the campsite. There are several rustic trails along this parcel that would allow guests to experience very private nature walks. Guests will fall asleep with the sights and sounds of water from the creek and a waterfall across the canyon. You will have complete access to a 32’ Winnebago camper with electricity and water that can sleep 4 adults and has a flush toilet. The deck that abuts the door to the camper is fully equipped with furniture and stairs to the lower area leading to the creek. There are several seating and table places around the creek with a selection of views of the water. 50 yards from the camper is a large, cleared area that is suitable in which to pitch a tent if all the guests would rather not share the camper.

We are told that the highlight of most guests stay with us is the creek running through the bottom of our property. It is a short, but mildly challenging hike down to where we have created a park setting. Stairs that lead to the water's edge, a large swimming hole to enjoy, seating at numerous sites along the creek bed, a Winnebago camper with electricity, water and a functional bathroom next to a 16'x18' deck are all at your disposal. You can have use of a propane barbecue with a side burner located on the deck. If you travel down to the creek, we will ask you to sign a liability waiver first. The spacious unit is set up with 2 twin beds made up as a queen. The kitchenette comes equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster. Enjoy a relaxing stay in an newly rebuilt, rustic bunkhouse on a gorgeous 65 acre horse ranch with a private lake. Bunkhouse has large living area with couch sleeper and two separate bedrooms with bunkbeds (most with stairs). Each room sleeps 4 comfortably (but can sleep more). Bring the family as the bunkhouse sleeps up to 9 total. Enjoy coffee in the morning while you get ready to go skiing (you will be 1 hour from Truckee) or stay on the ranch and enjoy the available activities (weather permitting). Studio In The Cedars is a lovely warm space with a private garden in the back and a deck with AMAZING mountain views! There is an outside fireplace with all the wood you need (when safe) and even marsh mellows and forks. An electric fire at the foot of a comfy queen size bed sits next to a 6' slider looking out at the changing views. There is an apartment size refrigerator/freezer stocked with a few goodies as well as organic milk for coffee. The kitchenette though small is well equipped with all you need for your convenience. There is a microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, dishes, pans, utensils, coffee, tea, hot cereal, granola bars and often fruit/cheese. There is also a breakfast bar although most guest eat out on the deck if they are dining in. Also beer or a bottle of wine is provided unless requested not. In the bathroom you will find a fully stocked medicine cabinet, towels, a bath robe, luggage rack, iron, blow dryer, fan and if what you need isn't there we will provide it. If you walk the one-mile loop we live on, you’ll see ponds, geese and other birds, deer, squirrels, foxes, jackrabbits, horses, chickens and possibly the lone white crane. Getting Around The nearest bus stop is about a five minute walk in front of the fairgrounds. It's just a 4 minute drive to downtown and about 10 minutes on a bike.

Dear Guest; Some handy things to know: We have wi-fi via Xfinity (240 Mpbs average). There is a booster in the cottage. Park in the driveway. The light on the front of the cottage is motion sensitive and will go on with movement, even that of a cat (we do have a cat and a dog, but in the backyard). The entrance is on the right side of the cottage. Coffee and teas on the kitchen shelf, half & half in the refrigerator plus some goodies for your first breakfast. Efficiency kitchen (microwave, electric tea and coffee pots, office refrigerator, toaster oven, rice cooker, cutting board, utensils, ironing board & iron. Try not to operate the toaster oven, coffee maker and microwave at the same time. This may result in a tripped circuit breaker. If that does happen, first look at the breaker by the paper lamp. There is a red button to press. Otherwise, the main breaker is behind the painting of the woman making hats. Turn all switches to the “on” position. The chandelier turns off and on with a Clap-On/Clap-off device. Simply clap your hands two (or three ?) times. Firmly. Note that the LED overhead spots go off after 15 minutes if there is no movement in the room. So, if you go out at night it’s a good thing to leave an outdoor light on for yourself. There’s a night light in the bathroom, another at the foot of the loft bed stairs. And a flashlight by the wicker sofa bed. Plus, a windup model in the loft. A week after you arrive we’ll leave a hamper at your back door in the morning for dirty towels, bathmats, sheets, dish towels, kitchen rug, etc. We’ll swap with a basket of clean replacements for you. We do not do personal laundry but can recommend a nearby laundromat or a housekeeper if you are interested. There is a vacuum cleaner and a mop & bucket in the utility shed outside your back door for your convenience. Trash cans are located between the two houses. Put trash out Tuesday for early pickup on Wednesday. There are remote controls for the AC and the electric fireplace. Directions on the remotes and more on other devises are in the plastic safety folder on top of the little fireplace. To get heat click the remote. If you need more heat open the right hand front door of the fireplace and turn the temperature knob clockwise. Make sure both red switches are flipped up. One is heat, one is fan. Once heat reaches the desired temperature turn the knob slowly counterclockwise until you hear a faint click. The heater will maintain that temperature. Take the remote with you if using the loft bed. If it gets too hot you can turn the heater off/on from there with the remote. Using the overhead fan helps direct the heat down from the high ceiling. The Bee House was named for a love of bees and how vital they are to our well-being (there are no “kept” bees at the property). In the same way, this home is vital to our health. Once you have settled in, please read the house manual which is attached to the entry wall to the right just as you walk in the front door. Check out instructions are in there too. It has all the charm of 1935, when it was built, but with all the modern conveniences of today. There is free high speed internet/wifi and Netflix. The two bedrooms and a cubby room gives ample room for 5 people to enjoy a stay. The Bird Room has a cal king bed, the Polo Room an eastern king bed, and a regular twin bed is in the Cubby Room (my granddaughter's favorite room!). The bathroom and kitchen are new. The kitchen is a cook's delight with stainless steel appliances, including 2 ovens, built-in microwave and a pot filler over the stove. Coffee maker, mixer, slow cooker, double waffle maker, blender... anything you need to either bake or cook. We have recently added a Nespresso "Vertuoline" Coffee maker. You can buy the capsules at Macy's, Sur La Table or online at Nespresso's website. You cannot use any other capsule with this machine because it reads the code on top of the capsule. At times, you may find capsules leftover that you are welcome to use. The bathroom is supplied with plush towels, towel warmer, first aid kit, hair dryer, curling iron, shampoo & conditioner & bath gel & a wall mounted, lighted magnifying make-up mirror. This cottage is apart of 6 unique cottages located in Historic Downtown Grass Valley. Tucked in the other corner of the property sits this one bedroom that sleeps 4…called The Willow… Real wood paneling in the living room with a barn door leading you into the bedroom. The bedroom may be our favorite.. the late 1800’s wall was built a long the property line… leaving it with a little bit of an angle. Queen size bed in bedroom as well as queen size sofa couch in living room. Full kitchen and laundry room with back door leading you to your private yard. Dog friendly.
